COURAGE to start  TENACITY to finish

The Walking Coach® was created in 2005 to promote walking as a means to help people create a healthy lifestyle and to bring walkers to the exciting world of marathons. By 2006 The Walking Coach® had expanded into a personal training service with private lifestyle coaching, individual marathon coaching,  and group walking sessions.

JACLYN DIONNE

Jaclyn Dionne (JJ) is The Walking Coach. JJ began her fitness lifestyle as a power walker over 20 years ago and has since logged over 30,000K kilometers. With a training background in group fitness, older adult fitness, and nutrition and wellness, J.J. currently maintains her professional certifications as a Personal Trainer, Marathon Coach, Sport Conditioning and Nutrition Coach, and yoga teacher with a Sport Conditioning specialization.

“ Having a strong and broad base of training has given me the ability to finely tune the programs for each of my clients. We all have special needs and the more tools at my disposal the more successful I am in keeping clients excited and progressing forward.”

JJ’s first love is walking and marathon coaching. Since 2005 JJ has coached over 350 walkers and runners in their goal to complete a half or full marathon.

“Walking – walking strong – is the core to my life. When my walking practice lags, so does my health. Walking has given me a quality of life that has allowed me to venture far from what I ever thought that I could physically achieve. Balancing this with yoga, the perfect cross training activity for sports, it is easy to maintain a healthy mind-body connection that keeps you life charged.”

THE WALKING COACH® Coaching Philosophy

“I believe that each of us has the desire to challenge our bodies to be their best. One person’s best is different from the next and I strive to help create that best. Coaching is a partnership with my client where our mutual goal is to empower the client to not only aspire to more, but to achieve more. But first and foremost, we have to be having FUN!

When it comes to training, I use a wholistic training philosophy that is based on the principles that there is no cookie cutter approach to training and it takes more than your two feet to cross a finish line.”  -Jaclyn Dionne, The Walking Coach®
