The Walking Coach was created in 2005 to promote walking as a means to create a healthy lifestyle and to bring walkers to the exciting world of marathons. By 2006 The Walking Coach had expanded into a personal training service specializing in fitness for those living with chronic pain.
Today in 2010, The Walking Coach embraces three core coaching streams that are interlinked for an all encompassing lifestyle plan that is achievable by everyone – even those living with chronic pain.
The MOTIVATION stream is for the walkers (and runners) who want to feel the thrill of crossing a finish line. The Walking Coach has an easy, manageable program that will take you from couch potato to marathoner in less than 6 months.
The PERSPIRATION stream is about getting strong. Physical strength is so powerful – it gives you such confidence and pride in yourself. Working with your schedule (and limitations) an evolution program is created that will allow you to achieve your goals.
The INSPIRATION stream addresses the quality of your life. This stream stresses creating the balanced lifestyle plan for your future that is designed to bring you to new horizons, athletically and mindfully.
JACLYN DIONNE
Jaclyn Dionne (J.J.) is The Walking Coach. J.J. began her fitness lifestyle as a power walker over 20 years ago. With a training background in group fitness, older adult fitness, and nutrition and wellness, J.J. currently maintains her professional certifications as a Personal Trainer, Marathon Coach, Sport Conditioning and Nutrition Coach, and yoga teacher with a Sport Conditioning specialization.
“ Having a strong and broad base of training has given me the ability to finely tune the programs for each of my clients. We all have special needs and the more tools at my disposal the more successful I am in keeping clients excited and progressing forward.”
J.J.’s first love is walking and marathon coaching. Since 2005 J.J. has coached over 200 walkers and runners in their goal to complete a half or full marathon.
